Rusty Johnson for District 7 US Representitive
Rusty Johnson is a Disabled Veteran, he was bit in the spine by a coral snake in 1986 while on Army maneuvers. He had his 29th back surgery 5 years ago. It took Rusty 19 years to get his medical disability from the Veterans Administration. It has been 10 years since he received his disability and in that time, Rusty has helped over 900 Veterans in getting their disability.
When Rusty and his family moved back to Indiana after he got out of the Army, he started working for the Construction Unions. Rusty left the Construction Unions in order to fulfill his dreams of working in Law Enforcement. He worked in Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center and Community Corrections for a year. Then Rusty decided to go into working in the IT field for the next 13 years.
In 1999, Rusty started a not for profit organization, J & S Computer Assistance, Inc. They recycled computers and distributed them to disabled people, Senior Citizens, Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers and Students whose parents could not afford a computer. J & S brought in over 108,000 computers over the next 3 years. When J & S Computer Assistance ran out of funding, he returned back to the IT field.
The Governors from Kentucky and Alabama made Rusty an Honorary Colonel for helping people in their States by donating computers. The Tennessee State Representatives made him an Honorary State Rep. Channel 6 News awarded Rusty the Channel 6 Leadership Award 2 years in a row for his Not-for-Profit work.
Also in 1999, Rusty pulled a man from a burning car. It shorted out his implant. He had to have surgery to replace the implant. Rusty received the Johnson County Red Cross Life Saving Award for his efforts.
In January, 2012, his implant quit working. It took him 2 months to get the VA Hospital to operate to replace the implant. He was on convalescent leave for 3 months after surgery. Rusty had lost his job when the implant quit working. They almost lost their home waiting on the VA to finalize his disability claim. Finally in September, 2012, the VA awarded Rusty 100% disability

Tell your Politicians to stop dividing us! Tell them the color of our skin, our religion, our sexuality or sexual preference and our disabilities are none of their business! If they disagree, you will know they just want to use it to keep us divided. We are better when we all come together.
Some of our Veterans have come home to an ungrateful, hateful Veterans Administration. Many have waited 20, 30 and even 50 years and are still waiting for their disability. We deserve better for our Veterans! They deserve better! That is why Rusty had spent 10 years of his life helping as many Veterans as he could.
Along the way, Rusty had only lost two Veterans, but even one is way too many! This Veteran had fought the VA since 1969. He died the first of last year without receiving his benefits. His widow has never received anything from the VA.
The Democrats are living in the past! They keep crying about the past even though they keep trying to erase it. But they refuse to make any changes to make this a better world. They keep us divided!
If you believe in racial, religious and economic equality or just plain ole equality, join our Team. Let’s create a better world where we can live together equally. Our children, and grandchildren will actually be able to look to us with pride for creating a better world for them.
We are done with the rhetoric from the Politicians who are separating us, calling us names and taking away our basic American freedoms. Divide us no more!
We deserve better than what is going on in Politics!
We are better united!
